That went well :P
The truth is, it is supposed to be a butterfly shape, why am I so freaking sure, well I ain't, but that's what all the scientist agreed on. It is called "The Butterfly Effect" and it is a chaos theory.
What you all seen in the picture yesterday was plot of the "Lorenz Attractor", this attractor is a chaotic map, noted for its butterfly shape. The map shows how the state of a dynamical system (the three variables of a three-dimensional system) evolves over time in a complex, non-repeating pattern, often described as beautiful.
You see here, no matter how scientist tried to explain the chaos theory, they end up with a butterfly shape :D
Now, why I wanted to share this with you? Simply because I don't want anyone to ask me again why I have the "It has been said that something as small as the flutter of a butterfly's wing can ultimately cause a typhoon halfway around the world" in my profile.
Why I have it there? Because I am a chaos :P

I don't believe that a butterfly can create a typhoon. Think about this, there are like billions of butterflies flapping their wings at this moment, even larger birds like bald eagles, shaved eagles or whatever, with all of them flapping their wings, this world should have ended a long time ago through natural disasters.
This is my opinion though, don't know about you.
Dude, it's jus a theory, watch the movie, "the butterfly effect" and you'll see how small changes can cause big effects :P i loved that movie alot.
Wow a nerdy post, just what I like. If you are interested in chaos look up fractals and mandelbrot, you will see some very beautiful chaotic pictures.

A fractal is basically the result of a set of mathematical equations that tends to study chaos, and hopes to make order out of it....
I love that theory :D
Don_Veto I know about fractal and the term was defined by Mandelbrot :) and if you really enjoy chaos you should read this book "quantum chaos and mesoscopic systems, mathematical methods in the quantum signatures of chaos"

Fractal00, it is an algorithm, or shape, characterized by self-similarity and produced by recursive sub-division... more generally the branch of mathematics named and explored by benoit mandelbrot
