Nimbuzz

Skype's central offices must be rife with panic today. Why? Because a new mobile application has been launched today in the UK that will apparently give Skype a run for its money.

Nimbuzz will provide mobile users and online communities with what they are calling an all-in-one solution for free mobile voIP calling, conference calling, instant messaging, chat and group chat. It also has a photo and file sending service across multiple IM communities, including Skype, MSN Google Talk and Yahoo!, including 23 social networks, such as Facebook and MySpace. This basically means you can take your IM buddies with you wherever you go.

Once you've downloaded the Nimbuzz application (here) and register as a new user, all your contacts from the selected IM communities are collected together to form one main contact list. It will indicate which users are online and from which communities and social networking sites.

Nimbuzz works across over 500 handsets and has a free mobile voIP solution that works on more than 90- handsets. It's free to download but is subject to network operator rates when used on a mobile, unless you're using a flat-rate data plan. Because flat-rate plans didn't exist in Europe last year, this makes Nimbuzz the closest thing to free communication at the moment.

Nimbuzz is exploring new territory on the social networking front by bringing voice and mobile chat via a communicator widget. A service called buzz is also being introduced that alerts your friends offline to join you online for a chat or a call.

Google Friend Connect

"Google has just launched Google Friend Connect. This is a new service that allows non-social networking sites to embed social networking capabilities without having to embed all that sophisticated programming. So, users will be able to take their social networks with them and connect with friends wherever they go on the web.

This new offering from Google comes a week after Facebook and MySpace launched a similar concept, allowing users to take their profile, friends, and interactions to any participating third party site. The difference between these applications and Google Friends Connect is that GFC is virtually all-network-inclusive.

Friend Connect provides an easy way for websites to let users log in and identify themselves and other friends from their social networks. You will be able to read their comments, interact with other users and invite your social network buddies to join."

My Pills Box

I lost my pills box when I was in UK. I hated the fact of having lotsa meds with me and I always liked my pills box. The other day when I bought that iPod water-proof cover thingie, I saw this in Virgin, Marina Mall and I love it!!!

They have different colors and styles and different ones too with different sizes.
